  • Advisory Council on Historic Preservation: The mission of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation is to promote the preservation, enhancement, and productive use of our Nation's historic resources, and advise the President and Congress on national historic preservation policy.

  • PreservationDirectory.com: The online resource for historic preservation, building restoration and cultural resource management in the United States & Canada. Our goal is to foster the preservation of historic buildings, historic downtowns and neighborhoods, cultural resources and to promote heritage tourism by facilitating communication among historic preservation professionals and the general public.

  • The National Park Service:
    • Heritage Preservation Services: helps our nation's citizens and communities identify, evaluate, protect and preserve historic properties for future generations of Americans. Located in Washington, DC, the Division provides a broad range of products and services, financial assistance and incentives, educational guidance, and technical information in support of this mission. 

    • National Register of Historic Places: the official list of the Nation's historic places worthy of preservation. Authorized by the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places is part of a national program to coordinate and support public and private efforts to identify, evaluate, and protect America's historic and archeological resources. 

    • Technical Preservation Services: the nation's leading provider of information and guidance on the care of historic buildings. Provides the tools and information necessary to take effective measures to protect and preserve historic buildings, ranging from historic masonry and window repairs to lead paint abatement to accessibility for people with disabilities. 

    • National Park Service Cultural Resources: includes information on grants, technical guidance and briefs, tax incentives, the Teaching with Historic Places program, and the Discover Our Shared Heritage Travel Itinerary Series.
